Uses
Wax in ear
Dosage
Adults
Lie on side with the affected ear uppermost and fill the affected ear with docusate sodium ear drops. Maintain the position for a few minutes. If both ears are affected, repeat the procedure for the other ear. Use at night for up to two consecutive nights.
Children
Lie on side with the affected ear uppermost and fill the affected ear with docusate sodium ear drops. Maintain the position for a few minutes. If both ears are affected, repeat the procedure for the other ear. Use at night for up to two consecutive nights.
Contraindications
Ear inflammation
Eczematous otitis externa
Perforated tympanic membrane
Precautions and Warnings
Discontinue if pain or inflammation occur
Advise patient to consult physician if condition worsens / does not improve
Pregnancy and Lactation
Pregnancy
Docusate sodium ear drops are considered safe for use during pregnancy.
Lactation
Docusate sodium ear drops are considered safe for use during breastfeeding.

Overdosage
