Guidelines Live returns on 21–22 November 2023 at ExCeL, London. The event opens on Tuesday 21 November with a Keynote Session entitled 'NICE: focusing on what matters most' by Professor Jonathan Benger, Chief Medical Officer and Interim Director of the NICE Centre for Guidelines. Over the 2 days, GP-expert-led sessions will provide updates on the latest guidance and primary care hot topics to support best practice. With 16 half-day streams, the agenda provides sessions on the issues seen in daily practice—for the full agenda, please see the centre pages of this issue of Guidelines in Practice or visit www.guidelineslive.co.uk/2023-agenda.
In addition to the main auditorium sessions, delegates will have the opportunity to attend short, drop-in sessions at one of our show floor stages during the breaks. On the Health Bites stage, delegates will find:
- an open-access Q&A session with speakers from the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society
- a sexual health update from Dr Toni Hazell
- sessions focused on the clinical aide-memoires Primary Care Hacks by Dr Kevin Fernando
- a presentation by the National Association of Sessional GPs on how on LocumDeck supports locum GPs.
Meanwhile, on the Health Xtra stage, there will be practical, hands-on sessions on a different topic each day. On Tuesday 21 November, these sessions will be focused on joint examinations and led by Dr Andrew Jackson, Clinical Lead at Versus Arthritis. On Wednesday 22 November, the Health Xtra stage will host open-access basic life support practice sessions for advice on approaching common situations.
We look forward to welcoming you to Guidelines Live 2023.
